It has numerous islands, the Dodecanese and the Cycladic groups of the Aegean Sea as well as the Ionian Sea islands. Athens is the capital and largest city (middle right as large bright color), with its port, Piraeus, located to the south-west on the Saronic Gulf
(Aegean Sea); it forms a unified metropolitan region.
